How to drive someone crazy and/or lock them out of their computer

WARNING: Following these instructions could result in you not being able to use your computer. Be careful, and lock out someone else's computer, not yours!

Want to drive someone nuts?

Go into the C:/Documents and Settings/<some user>/Start Menu/Programs/Startup folder. Make s shortcut to "shutdown.exe -l"

What happens, you ask? Well, don't do this to yourself. It will make you log off as soon as you log on. :sneaky:

A practical use for this: If your computer boots slowly and takes forever to log on, put a shortcut to "rundll32.exe user32.dll LockWorkStation" in your startup folder. Then, you can log on and leave yourself to log on slowly and go get a drink or whatever. The computer will lock itself as soon as it's started up.

EDIT

Note: It does not appear to work in Safe Mode, so you can recover. But it's fun none the less!

did you also notice that shutdown.exe has remote options

And... what about it?

Those options will only work if you have multiple computers connected to a network or domain. Doesn't apply to me most of the time. But I see how that could get fun... shutting everyone on the network down. :D
