Create/Burn ISO Hangs

I get this message: "Status: Preparing 2,574/2,574" and that's it. It never does anything else. I tried creating ISO and burning directly to disc, neither do anything.

This is on XP SP2 on a Dell Latitude D620.

Any way to get past this problem?

I first tried Nlite with Windows Vista, but when I selected the Windows XP installation disc, it gave me a warning about making sure that the directory had i386 or something. I clicked OK, selected the correct drive with the correct CD disc, and it still gave me the same message.

Your cd with windows is a Recover disk or a bootable Windows install?
