mtkirwan
Hi,I have a Word document I need to modify where the footer has Page x of y. This is what I want however it doesn't work properly when I print the document. When I open the document (or Print Preview) I get Page 1 of 31, Page 2 of 31, Page 3 of 31 as I want however when I print the document I get Page 1 of 1, Page 2 of 2, Page 3 of 3 etc.Does anyone know how to fix this?Kind Regards,Matthew
AuthorAnne
Hi Matthew,What version of Word are you using? I seem to remember that being a bug in an earlier version of Word, but can't remember which one.As for fixing it, if your document is complete you could enter a fixed value for 'y' instead of letting Word calculate it, but that doesn't really help if you subsequently change the number of pages in the document.Regards,Anne
spacesurfer
Erase the footer and redo it. save it, reopen it. It should work after you delete it and redo it.
