Will removing fax remove the ability to add a scanner ? I removed fax and I can not find where to access the scanner?

before vlite its listed with the fax.

Did you remove the Windows Image Acquisition?

Try the Control Panel - Add New Hardware then lower advanced option and select it from the list, then have disk.
