Problem with Scatter Plots

I'm creating a scatter plot that has two data series. My problem is that some of the data points share the same values but for some reason don't line up.

So let's say datapoint1 from series 1 has a value of (1,1)

datapoint2 from series 2 has a value of (1,5)

Notice they have the same x value. However when Excel plots them datapoint2 from series 2 looks like (1.5,5)

Any ideas?
