KevMull Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I've used nLite to create my XP set up, but now I want to to do a new one but only replace one of the add ons ('Validation Tool' that was released yesterday!).Do I have to go through the nLite process all over again or is there an easier a way I can manually add/remove single hot fixes/add ons?
wenchai Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 as far as i know, you can add any addons or hotfix but you can't remove anything to your project....
KevMull Posted March 22, 2007 Author Posted March 22, 2007 How do I add extra add ons to an already processed 'xp dvd' folder?Or do I have to start again with a clean, nare bones source folder? Many Thanks
Guest parabel Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 (edited) How do I add extra add ons to an already processed 'xp dvd' folder?Or do I have to start again with a clean, nare bones source folder?I would say, just do the process you would usually do with a 'clean' source folder and let nlite integrate just that single hotfix?Of course it may take a few minutes even though it is only one hotfix, but still better than doing all the other integrations that you did previously again to a clean source. But no guarantee if the hotfix will really work afterwards or if it may cause some trouble with the older version that has also been integrated. Would be good to hear how it worked!Maybe someone else already has some experience there? Edited March 22, 2007 by parabel
rajesh.kumar Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 it is suggested not to use already done distribution for modification. to get a worry-free install, always use a clean distribution(xp+sp2 as base to do all uA stuffs.
