Hello.

Is there a way to install the missing desktop icons from the unattend.xml file?

Is a way to run a script that edit the registry?

I manage to install the IE7 desktop icon using the RunSynchronousCommand opption from the unattend.xml file

"Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]

"{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000"

Can i do the same for the rest icons?

Please help.

Thanks

I thinks he's talking about the desktop icons for Network, IE, My Documents, etc. that were on Windows XP desktop.

Check out HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons

I don't know all the CLSID, play around with enabling and disabling and you should be able to figure out which one is which.

Yes i am talking about the "My Computer, My Network Places, User Folder and IE" desktop icons.

Shall i use the RunSynchronousCommand or the FirtsLogonCommand?

I can find the CLSID values from the .themes file.

Or, can i eneble them if i change, modify the aero.themes file?

Thanks again
