rukia Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Hi to all,Using LDAP with IPv6 support, there is no response from the Windows 2003 server AD after we provide the correct username and password whenIPv6 settings in Windows 2003 Server Active directory is enabled. If IPv6 settings of W2k3 server is disabled, there is no problem. We can succesfully login and browse objects. In ldap_sasl_bind, the error occurs in connect() function and returns "LDAP server down" error. What could be the cause of this?Hope you can help me :-)Thanks in advance, rukia
fdv Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 I hope I didn't miss something but are you specifying IP address in dotted form? Also is this system SP2?Not that I have answers but it might help other readers
rukia Posted March 18, 2007 Author Posted March 18, 2007 >>I hope I didn't miss something but are you specifying IP address in dotted form? IP address in dotted form? you mean IPv4? nope. IPv6 address = 128 bit>>Also is this system SP2?Nope.Everything is working fine in IPv4.I wonder, what else should be configured in w2k3 server after installing IPv6?And I also add IPv6 address in Forward and Reverse zone of DNS?Am I still missing something? Thanks again, rukia
nitroshift Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 AFAIK, you can't have IPv6 and IPv4 active at the same time. And your clients must recognise the IPv6 if you want to go ahead with it.
