seskanda
Courtesy of this web page i've figured out a way for 98SE to require a logon password. Now, how about Safe Mode? I know there's a way to remove safe mode as an option from the 'ol F8 start menu. But this method is self-destructive, since it also locks out yourself from entering it, too. I've heard of a 3rd part app, Foolproof Security v3.97, that should password-protect safe mode, but i'd prefer it if there was some internal way; like the procedure above for password protecting 98SE in regular mode. Thanks.
MDGx
As far as I know, Safe Mode in Win9x [95/98/ME] OSes cannot be protected by a password, without [as you have mentioned] 3rd party apps.If you need PolEdit files + guides, please see this:http://www.mdgx.com/add.htm#POLHTH
