Wolluf Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Hi,Have winlite install disk with SP2 and all critical patches since and ie7 integrated - nothing else - no tweaks etc. XP installs fine - but after installation, at some point (usually when installing drivers) get the 'critical system files have been replace by unrecognised versions' message. Cancelling message doesn't cause any problems - but wonder if anyone else has had this? It seems to have started since version 1.2 and ie7 integration. Main problem for me is I use winlite disk to effect repair reinstalls on my customer's machines (when necessary) - as it obviously saves reinstalling all the updates again - and if they see this message, its obviously worrying. It usually only happens once (so its already happened by time I return machine), but occasionally it happens several times.Anybody know why this is and how to fix if possible? Thanks
miguelpp Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 (edited) Same here, I had the doubt if it was IE7 or KB893803. It seems IE7 to be the culprit. I´ll do a test without IE7 but with WMP11 and KB893803 and will tell you.It would be great to have a solution though.Regards. Edited March 13, 2007 by miguelpp
