NT4 SP6a Critical Update

Is there anyone who can help me with my update issue.

All of the nt4 boxes we have will not install the latest critical updates. They list them and download them, but when they come to install I get an unknown error and I'm taken back to the updates screen.

I have installed updater 1 and tried to install 2 but the machine reports the service is already running.

I would be grateful for any help in this matter.

Some of the latest updates are server only, and you may need to fiddle with the install.inf, and repack it to get it to work on a workstation.
