outlook 2007 problem

hi all new here.i had just recently had to reinstall outlook 2007.

my problem is the following.

i have a file on my computer i am trying to get back all my emails and contacts from a previous outlook.

when i hit open with i get the following error message.

The command line argument is not valid.Verify the switch you are using.

the file i beleive is an outlook 2003 file.

i also tried imprting but this won't work either.

i need help as all my info is in this file
