March 1, 200719 yr HiMy first post here I'd like to say that this forum and its guides are great! I stopped searching for info in other sites, everything is hereI'm just following the Windows Unattended guide (http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/48/) to slipstream my Office 2003 Standard and its SP2. But at the moment I try to apply the SP2:msiexec /p C:\SP2\MAINSP2ff.msp /a C:\Office2003\STD11.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qbmsiexec /p C:\SP2\OWC11SP2ff.msp /a C:\Office2003\OWC11.MSI SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qbI receive the following message (when executing any of the lines above):The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch. My Office 2003 is the Standard Edition, Volume License. The Windows Installer is 3.0.What's wrong? Anyone could help me?
June 4, 200719 yr As i know you need to UPDATE Windows Installer to version 3.1 ( in looks like MS KBxxxxx-WindowsInstaller).
June 5, 200719 yr You can slipstream any Office 2003 with volume licensing. It shouldn't work with Standard, Professional, or Small Business editions. But as far as I know, only the Enterprise edition has volume licensing, not Standard. Edited June 5, 200719 yr by RaGhul
