is there any way to set global view settings for folders? all my folders are set to detail and i like them set as medium icons. any way to set this w/o doing it individually?

I imagine a solution would be to set a folder the way you want it to look and then go into folder options (inside control panel) and click the button saying "View all as current folder" (on the 2nd tab)

cool thanks. one correction, i had to go to tools>folder options in that folder instead of via the control panel
