install xp from HDD

i have 4 patitions,and copied winxp cd to d: i have formatted my c drive and there is no operatin system.now i want to install xp from that copy in drive d.is it possible if yes HOW?

Boot with a startup floppy and make sure smartdrv.exe is loaded. Then navigate to the D:\[XP CD contents]\i386 folder and type "winnt"
