(Probably the same answer to, is CD2 of the Windows XP Media Center Edition Gold medias the same as Windows XP Media Center Edition with Service Pack 2?)I understand that CD2 -contains- the Media Center Edition software.(I believe CD1 is regular XP Professional, and it's CD2 that makes it MCE.)Check if your CD2 has a folder 'CMPNENTS".Inside this folder should be 3 other folders: MEDIACTR, NETFX, TABLETPC...Can't answer about MCE Gold - sounds like 'marketing hype'... Ascii2
Can't answer about MCE Gold - sounds like 'marketing hype'... The term "Gold" defined in a Microsoft FAQ:Q. I see the term "Gold" in reference to service packs. What does "Gold" mean? A. Gold is the term used to describe the originally released version of the product—that is, the version of the product before any service packs have been applied.I shall update the initial post to this thread to include the meaning of "Gold".
