Reki Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Hi,What is the best (safest) way to install the windows 98SE enhancements? I mean in which order... Now i have a clean installation of windows 98SE, and i want to install some plugins etc...is this the right order?:1. Clean installation (win 98 SE)2. Unofficial service pack 2.1a3. Maximum-Decim Native USB Drivers4. 98SE2ME5. Revolutions pack 7thanks in advance!
awergh Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 1. Clean installation (win 98 SE)2. Unofficial service pack 2.1a98se2me depends on what option because there is a usb update in there so it is recommended to install it before nusb4. 98SE2ME3. Maximum-Decim Native USB Driversyou need ie5.5 to run 98se2me and rp7 proberly i think5. Revolutions pack 7also you may want to try the Auto-Patcherwhich would change the order to1. Clean installation (win 98 SE)Auto-Patcher4. 98SE2ME ?5. Revolutions pack 7

MDGx Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 thanks, I was setting up a VM in Virtual PC (64 bit vista 16bit) and i want to add 98mp10 to the mix, does this install after 98se2me? thank you in advance MandrkeI usually recommend to install 98SE2ME [1st] and then 98MP10 [2nd], but there is no problem if you install them the other way around. To my knowledge they do not interfere with each other.HTH
