October 3, 200322 yr Looks like a bad RAM module. Run memtest86 and loop it 10 times and see if any errors are reported. You can burn the memtest86 ISO to CD and it will automatically boot from it.http://www.memtest86.com/
October 3, 200322 yr It may just be time for a re-install though. Im guessing if its trying to read the section it already wrote to it.
October 5, 200322 yr Author after runing memTest, it didn't find any errors. any clues? in fact, i hadthis problems be4, i reinstalled the windows system already. withoutinstalling lots of softwares on my pc, it doesn't have this kind of problem.for some avi media files, i need toinstall the codec to decode those ****media files. does the codec cause this kind of problem?thx
October 5, 200322 yr It depends on the codec, I guess.Even if I've never experienced that kind of error while manipulating Divx (or any other mpeg4) files, I suggest you to install the latest codec available.I'd even suggest you to install ffdshow, wich is a filter that decodes all Divx and Xvid content. It's free and light. You can get it here.
