Guest damn_nation
As stated in my "Topic Description", I am wanting to "brand" my unattended windows disc by changing the background, text, and animations on the setup screen. I have seen that this is possible when I downloaded the Windows XP Demonoid Spectacular DVD torrent off of demonoid.com. I got this to see how others have made their unattended setups, and to be able to study how they modified things. Then I loaded it into Virtual PC 2004, and ran it with DAEMON Tools. I was quite impressed to say the least. Now, after seeing how they changed the setup/install screen around, I would like to be able to do the same.I know that the file would have to be somewhere in the I386 folder, or at least that is my best guess. After install, the same screen that showed up during setup, was on the desktop. I unRAR'd the ISO file, and searched the entire folder for the background image, figuring that it would be somewhere accessible, but my search turned up fruitless. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work?Any help here is greatly appreciated.
phkninja
look at unattended installs guide. modify the winntbbu.dll file and add the picture in $OEM$\$$\system32\Resources\Themes\Then set the wallpaper to the name of the image %SystemRoot%\system32\Resources\[image name] Edited February 15, 2007 by phkninja
bushhog
Here is a nice little program that will help you to change your setup. Just find your winntbbu.dll file in the i386 folder of your XPCD.http://rapidshare.com/files/16617111/background_setup_changer.rar.html
