try disabling the wep or not to use any encryption key

i have soke troubles with encryption keys in the past, specially with the option network authentication i selected shared and my probmls started, then i decided to try with open since that moment i didnt have any probma. On the other hand i use G wireless router, but u can select the standard tht u need, B or G, i selected G because of the signal strength and speed in data transmission, 54 or 108 mb, depends on the router specs any way. to keep ur signal strength select an open point in ur house, and with relative hight from the ground. check any other wireless source, like a wireless handset those gadgets works within a 2.4 ghz in frequency too, the same as ur router, try unplugging ur phone or changing the band in ur phone if it is possible or in your router, u have this selection of channels from 1 to 11, prefer operate in channel 7.

other issue less acknowledged is the wireless card in your lap, take a look in the card properties. so u need to go back to ur wireless network connection icon and slect it again and then click on properties once u get there u need pay attention to a line that it says> connect using: next to it u will find the name of the wirelesscard in front of it ther is a button with a line that says: configure make click on it, then another small window will show up in front of u, that is the cards properties dialog box, here u can check other configs compare and edit the ones that u want.

then try. its just a try and error process.
