Carla Posted February 12, 2007 Share Posted February 12, 2007 I want to reinstall Windows Xp soon, as I got a virus and after cleaning the computer doesn't work as smooth as before. I gives some strange erros and sometimes it justs hangs up... I want to backup Outlook Express emails and settings before reinstall, and restore afterwards. Any help? I also found Outlook Express Backup Genie http://www.amicutilities.com/outlook-express-backup which does the job right and fast. I will try them out more and then buy one! Thanks again! Ascii2 Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 (edited) THe easiest way to backup the emais is to simply copy the store folder to a different ocation.The "Export..." button may be used from the Internet Accounts dialog box to back up account settings.To backup Outlook Express Identities and settings, back up HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities .
