February 11, 200719 yr all outlook items are stored in a database file called outlook.pstyour outlook.pst file is located here:C:\Documents and Settings\user_id\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlookuse your backup software to retrieve the file from the external hard drive- but do not overwrite your current one - put it in a temporary locationin outlook click: file --> import and exportselect import from another program or fileselect pst from the list and browse to the temp one you retrieved earlieryou will see a list of all the folders in the pst (calendar/contacts/deleted items etc)select deleted items and finish Edited February 11, 200719 yr by markajm
February 12, 200719 yr yes, search for the .pst file then import it in outlook. it should work.In the future you can consider using a dedicated software because is much more simple cause the software can save what you want, when you want and where you want it.Personally i use Outlook Express Backup Genie (download & try it fromhere)Cheers and good luck !
