zillah Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) We have got an application called help desk installed on PC win2003 server , within that application there is a service (use wizard) to retrieve all database information (username, first name, last name) from Active Directory Domain (win2003). For the database to be retrieved from the AD, it should has privilege domain admin. And that database should be synchronized between help desk and AD.domain admin can not be given to help desk people, how can we find alternate solution for this issue ? nmX.Memnoch Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 As far as I know Domain Admin privileges aren't required to query information. I don't have Domain Admin privs at work, but I can query accounts within AD all day long.I am an OU admin, but even then we're setup in such a way that we can't do anything directly with AD Users & Computers. We have to use a 3rd party app from NetIQ.
