BLeU Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I'm sorry if this question has been asked before..Using nLite 1.3 RC2, I created my XP setup cd from XP Pro SP2 OEM setup files..During the installation, everything went smoothly until an error message box popped up saying:16 Bit MS Dos Subsystem---------------------------------C:\Windows\System32\shmgrate.exeC:\Windows\System32\config.nt The system file is not suitable for running ms dos and microsoft Windows application. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.---------------------------------At the back of the error message box, there was an empty command prompt window with message "C:\Windows\System32\shmgrate.exe" on its title bar.Any idea?
nuhi Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Have you removed 16bit support? If you haven't then check if your cd has CONFIG.NT_ file in the i386 folder. If it has then attach your preset and write down any extra steps besides nlite.Thx.

nuhi Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 I tried it and it worked without any problem.Check your winnt.sif if you're using your own unattended...or maybe some other modifications

nuhi Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Ok if there is no winnt.sif, I just thought that you add it because in your preset the unattended page wasn't selected.Let me know when you find anything, it simply worked when I tried it. You can also exclude few options and see what causes it for you, that can be very helpful.
BLeU Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 Problem's solved..Bad media..I burned the iso on another cd this time and the error message I previously got didnt show up anymore.. Sorry for all the trouble..Btw, thanks for your friendly helps..!
