Intel Pro 1000 MB Dual driver

Hello.

I know this is an issue in several topics in this forum, but i cannot get RIS + WINPE 2005 + Windows 2003 SP1 server to work with Intel Pro drivers delivered from Intel or Dell. I have tried Intel Pro 10.4 and 11.2 and the Dell supplied Intel Nic drivers. None of them work! I have assured that the driver files are in the correct catalogs, and i use the drvinst utility to insert the driver. The wierd thing about this, is that if i try RIS + WINPE2005 + WINXP SP2, the drivers works just fine!

Does anyone have a intel proset driver that work with my combination, thats RIS + WINPE2005 + Windows 2003 Sp1?

Well, i have tried both methods. One with WINPE2005 + Windows 2003 SP1 as source, and one with WINPE2005 + WinXPSp2 as source. Only the build with Winxp sp2 as source can use the driver. My problem is that i have to use the Windows 2003 sp1 as source, because i'm using this to install servers from HP and Dell, and none of the newer mass storage controller drivers work with Winxp sp2. Any suggestions?

Well this modell is an PE 1855 bladeserver. I have the following servers working, Dell PE2650, PE2950, PE1955, and HP 460C, HP DL380. The difference between these servers and Dell PE1855 is that they all use a dual Broadcom NIC, either the NetXtreme or NetExtreme II. That driver works just fine. The drivers i have have tried for the Intel Pro 1000 Dual Nic on the PE 1855 does not. So far iv'e tried with the base drivers from intel 11.2 and 10.4 drivers, and Dell supplied drivers with a special RIS inf file. None of them is working. So if any have a driver that works for Intel Pro 1000 Dual card, please tell me.

Have you tried building your WinPE2005 image with the /PNP switch? Some nics won't work unless it can detect and install other bus drivers first.

EDIT:

On the 2850, it uses the "Intel® PRO/1000 MT Network Connection" nic. The driver I use for this one, I have attached. This driver INF looks like it is also for the MB nic you use. This is an older version of the driver, but I have no issues with it in WinPE.

Ok. I this is what i have found out so far.

I tried using the /PNP switch on my Winpe build. That gave me more information in the setupapi.log file. I found out that the files oem1-4.inf overrided the e1000325.inf file in the /Inf catalog so i removed those. But it still does not work!! The e1000325.inf file is now loaded but i is still does not get the correct Nic installed. Iv'e attached my setupapi.log and information of the nic selected by winpe. If anyone got some ideas please tell me.

I will try with winpe + winxpsp2 as source tomorrow to see what the setupapi.log tell me then.

After the line #I058 it just stops, no reason. This is weird. I'm currenly using Intel 11.2 drivers. As before if any has a solution. Please tell me.
