Media Player 11 and REAL codecs

I have been using Media Player to view all my Real Player videos as I can't stand Real Player. I just downloaded Real Alternative for the codecs. I upgraded to Media Player 11 today. I really like the new library but haven't used enough of the program for a real review. The one problem I encountered is that I can no longer rewind or fast forward real player files. Any other file type seems to work fine, but with real player the file starts over anytime you touch the slider bar. I tried out Shark's codec pack, but had the same issue there. Any ideas?
