fital Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 At work I have my work email account which is accessed via outlook 2003. I would like to be bale to access my hotmail via outlook as well, to save me having to constantly check hotmail.I have created the account using the hotmail http service. The folders are all created but when I select it to send/receive it comes with this error message – Microsoft exchange server – sending and receiving CompletedHotmail sending CompletedHotmail:Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers ErrorsAnd the error message says – “Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCC37) : 'Your proxy requires you to authenticate. Contact your network administrator for assistance. The server responded 'Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. )'. '”Does anybody know why this is? And how it can be resolved. Or even any other ways for me to access my hotmail via my work outlook.
gamehead200 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Do you have a premium Hotmail account? Accessing Hotmail through Outlook requires a premium account.
fital Posted January 29, 2007 Author Posted January 29, 2007 no i dont have a premium account. i know to use POP you need a premium account but for the free accounts the http connection on Outlook will work. it already has hotmail as an option on the http connection.
gamehead200 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 In that case...Have you tried this?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287424
fital Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Yes I have, the second method was the way I originally set it up. It comes up with the same error… :-(
