Whenever I try installing a 16-bit app from CD drive or ISO vdrive, nothing happens. I notice that the setup.exe is visible in my Task Mgr, though offset in the list, but it is unactive and I cannot End Task it.

I have tried what I know to fix this issue...including replacement of autoexec.nt & config files.

I just to not know what may be interferring with this.

Any suggesstions?

did you use nlite ?

Wich tweak do you aplly in windows ? the 8.3 dos name tweak may cause this problem...

Have you tried playing around with the Compatibility Tab in the file's Properties?

Any chance you are using Kerio (or rather Sunbelt) Personal Firewall v4.3? I had that problem too, and Kerio caused it. (v4.2 works fine, if that's your problem)
