Nero 7.7.5.1 on Windows Vista

When installing Nero 7.7.5.1 (vista compatible) I'm asked to upgrade my "outdated" DX 10 to DirectX 9.0c, and cannot cancel. Why does this happen? Will I encounter problems clicking yes at this?

thats weird. are you using the original installer from ahead?

i have the latest version but i havent tried it on vista yet.

as i said, i havent install it on vista yet.

about the directx issue, maybe the installer is buggy and not really "vista compatible". maybe checking ahead's support will bring some insight into it.

What kind of problems will I enconter? running dxdiag shows dx.v10 even though i clicked yes.

Updating DX 10 to DX 9 do nothing !

Old DX know that you system has new files ...

thats right. the newer files takes precedence always. so you actually cant install 9.0c above 10.

as i said, maybe the installer is buggy and not really "vista compatible". i think if this is happening on all vista installations, maybe there is already some sort of support on ahead's.
