"Unknown Internet Connection Sharing device"

Hey newbie here...gotta a problem with my network...

well i did a clean install of xp on my system. I want to setup my network through my LInksys router so i can share/view file and printer. But when I go through the Network Setup Wizard I keep getting this message "Unknown Internet Connection Sharing device" and asks if i want to use this as my Internet access. I've setup my network before with a clean install but never got this message before. I was wondering how i could fix this. It wont let me setup my home network!

My computer connects to port1 on router then all others connect to the other ports on the router.

You mean your pc is linked to the WAN port? If so, link it to any other ethernet port on your router and leave the WAN port free for your ISP

no no..my router is set up perfectly...becuase my internet/network was workin before the clean install...after clean install it isnt...
