996 Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 Here's one feature in MS Word that really annoys me since I've first used it.I am designing a template for a business letter. Besides many other things I want it to include the (current) date. With the insert -> time & date -> update automatically option I always get the current date but also the following problem:When a letter is created form the template, saved, printed and sent it includes the date it was created (current). However, when one needs to refer back to the letter a few months after it was sent, the document is opened and contains the current! date, not the date it was created. How can I auto-insert the date on which a document was created from a template so it doesn't change when the document is edited again?
