Mike500 Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Has anyone done this before? A lot of info is to be found on http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/iaa_raid/Including this: http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/.../unattended.htm// Insert the lines below into the UNATTEND.TXT file (alias winnt.sif)[MassStorageDrivers]"Intel® 82801ER SATA RAID Controller" = OEM[OEMBootFiles]iaStor.infiaStor.sysiaStor.catTxtsetup.oemPlace iaStor.inf, iaStor.sys, iaStor.cat, and Txtsetup.oem in the following folder:<SystemRoot>:\i386\$OEM$\TextmodeWhat i'm wondering about is the "Textmode" folder. How does it know it can find the stuff there?
Mike500 Posted September 25, 2003 Author Posted September 25, 2003 I should mention that this is the unattended method for the "F6" install, so you don't need to do use the floppy disk with the pre-installation RAID drivers during the XP installation.
Paul 365 Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 The textmode folder is autmaticaly copied over to the hard disk during install. However that doc is wrong the actual path should be \$OEM$\Textmode in windows 2000 and xp, for NT it is correct.
