small issues with non-English nlited XPs?

Featured Replies

I have been a silent nlited user for almost three years now. I'm glad almost all visual effects now work.

However, there are some small isues with non-English versions (at least Spanish one): IE, OE and IE QuickLaunch icons/shortcuts never get deleted. My guess is that localized versions DO translate "start menu" and the various "Programs" name folders, i.e. "Default User/Menú Inicio/Programas" or "Administrador\Menú Inicio\Programas\Outlook Express.lnk"

IE Quicklaunch shortcut seems to face the same problem as it is located under name-localized folders.

Using XP SP2 plus spanish post-sp2 hotfixes. I don't think you need my lastsession.ini but if you need any more info just ask for it.

I guess if this is confirmed probably other non-and-never-have-worked nlite tweaks could at last be explained, and maybe corrected (translating ALL these folders to ALL XP languages :lol:)

edit: forgot to say that "remove WMP context menu shell" never works (only if I add a regsvr line myself in runonceex tab), probably because of the same folder-lozalization problem.

I won't bump the thread but I think this should be ataken into attention. I myself dont care of these issues, I just thought it could reduce the frustration of non-english nlite users.
