aardvaark1
When clicking the "File" option at the top of Microsoft Word 2003 the drop down options do not appear. This problem occured right after my computer locked up in the middle of converting a Word 2003 document to an Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 document. I got a message about a programming error, I cant exactly remember the message, possibly something to do with Visual Basic. Since that occured I cannot acces anything under "File". I noticed a problem that showed up as a Visual Basic error in Access 2003 as well. Here is what I have done so far: 1. I repaired my Office 2003 Professional installation 2 times. 2. I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 7.0 and reinstalled 3. I completely uninstalled Office 2003 Pro. 4. I ran a system restore to before my problem occured. 5. I reinstalled the Win XP Professional without reformating my hard drive. 6. I repaired my Office 2003 Pro installation again.Since the reinstall of Windows XP Professional Access is working properly. I still have the same problem with Word. The other menus such as "Edit" and "View" etc. all work properly. The only thing I havent done yet is too reformat and install the operating system and I would rather not do that if possible. Does anyone have any ideas. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks, Rick.
