MCE Woes

dell shipped my dads computer with a XP MCE UA cd and it always seems to screw up his computer, ive put xp on there a few times but he complains that he cant use his TV card in XP. is there a way to take the TV part out of MCE or something like that? if not whats a good freeware/shareware tv app? i know sagetv is good but neither of us are gonna be willing to pay $70 for it

"screw up his PC"? Why don't you post the problems experienced with MCE on that PC and we'll try to help you fix it. Might be the best option, I think.
