Jacked my computer up?

I got Windows XP Media Center. I followed the instructions and installed. I chose the "upgrade" option which was recommended.

The problem is that now every time my computer starts, I get a screen that says "Windows did not start correctly, chose an option below to start in..."

Safe Mode

Safe Mode with Networking

Last good configuration

etc.

Sorry, I can't remember exactly, I am at work right now.

I don't understand any of this. The computer does this continuous loop no matter what I chose to start in.

Could anyone help out?

Oh well, I guess I will just try a factory install again from the xp professional disc

know this might be a bit late, but if re-installing windows didnt work, check the power connections to your hard drive, or run some diagnostic software on your harddrive... we get this problem a lot in the school i work at!

Also, try doing a clean install with your XP Media Center Edition disc. Sometimes something gets screwed up in the upgrade process (never have been a fan of doing an upgrade).
