Customizing power configuration

It may seem trival, but not to me.

I've managed to locate the power configuration registry settings, but I have no idea how to set them.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies\]

It ranges from 0 to 5, and it gives an accurate description of each one, but they are registry binaries, not dwords. Does anyone know how to edit them?

Or am I even in the right place?
