msconfig problem

Hi,

I wanted to shutdown some programs from starting up with my system in tab: 'startup' in msconfig, but it gave me an error when I apply:

there is an access deny error when trying to start a service.....

But, the weird thing: I have admin rights

and pc is totally updated with all the fixes for xp

I use Kaspersky AV 6 and also installed ad aware, spybit and windows defender

If anybody can help me, thx

You get that error when tryin to start up a service or shut it down? If it's the latter, use unlocker.

well both, if I want to check and uncheck a box in the startup tab in msconfig

But it happens when I click apply, but when I reboot it seems to work and it's actually changed, but don't know why I get those message, if somebody knows how to get rid of those message
