Dual boot Windows Vista & Longhorn Server

Hi,

I'm talking about dual booting Vista and Longhorn Server...

Both Vista OS's if i may say so.

The problem is:

Both Vista's assume the partition that it is installed in...as C: drive.

In my case, I installed Vista first and that partition is C: drive. Then i installed Longhorn Server and in Vista, where Longhorn Server is installed in is H: drive. Whereas in Longhorn Server it is C: drive.

In the Vista bootloader, it boots by drive letter, and therefore since Vista is installed first, C: will boot me into Vista, and it has assigned H: to boot into Longhorn Server.

After installing Longhorn Server, I can boot into it and do whatever.

Then i boot into Vista, that worked...

But if i boot into Longhorn Server again, i cant. It gives me an error such as An error has occurred and some numbers and letters in the bootloader.

Therefore 'it' - that is, something has been confused.

So now I'm sure how to dual boot both OS's.

My questions:

- Will it be possible to install Windows Vista and Windows Longhorn Server on the same computer?

- How do one setup the bootloader's and partitions to house both of these new gen OS's?

- Is it possible to change the drive letter of the partition on which Windows Vista\Longhorn is installed on?

Many thanks.

use bcdedit or some nice gui tools like Vistabootpro or Easybcd to edit bcd store

the find the GUID of each OS Entry

do this

bcdedit /set GUID osdevice partition=C:
bcdedit /set GUID device partition=C:

for Vista in C: drive

and

do this

bcdedit /set GUID osdevice partition=H:
bcdedit /set GUID device partition=H:

for LH server
