demjan Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 is there a way to completely disable automatic restarting of windows?that is something most annoying to me. I would not be worried if it stucks or show me blue screen, but I realy dont want it to restart.Automatically Restart option in system options is unchecked.I allso use this tweak:;Disable Automatic Restart in the event of a BSOD[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl]"AutoReboot"=dword:00000000...and I still have problem with automatic reestarting. it is not often, but it's annoying when ocurre.is there any solution?

cluberti Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 You could also use gpedit to remove the ability of all users (other than one admin user you select) to shut down or restart the machine. That would keep those users from rebooting or shutting down the machine, and still allow you to log on as one user and do the reboot.
