techguy21801 Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 hi all, i'm having one hell of a brain fart and i can't remember how to fix this. i have a user that installed office 97 on their machine and they were not supposed to install outlook, anyways i can not get IE to use outlook express as the default email client and i have tried all i can remember at the moment. it kepps trying to use microsoft exchange. they're running windows 2000, with IE 6.0 SP1. thanks

MSNwar Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Sometimes you have to be disconnected from the internet for that to work to include shut down all programs that are accessing OE like an anti-virus application.Try it in safe mode.
