kbelle Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 New poster, so just let me know if this has a better place in a different forum, but here's my problem:I have XP Home. Just recently, within the last 2 weeks or so, my computer, when it sits idle for 10 minutes or so, automatically logs me out and takes me back to the log-in page where I have to log in again. My power settings specify that my computer remains active at all times unless I press the power button to shut it down. I do not use a screen saver, so the option to show the login screen is not checked. I do have two profiles on my computer, but the other one is rarely used. Wasn't sure if this could be contributing to the problem or not.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I'd be happy to give more information if needed. Thanks!
CptMurphy Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 In your PowerOptions Properties dialog box, in the advanced section, is the check box in the options part that says, "Prompt for password..." checked? Also, are you sure you are configuring the correct profile?
kbelle Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 That was one place I hadn't looked. I did uncheck that and I think it may have solved the problem. Thanks so much! I'll post again if it starts up again.
