BirgerW
Hi allI have deployed W2K3 to a number of blade servers. After having settled issues with the network driver, the scsi driver and windows driver signing, I am facing a quite annoying problem.The machine logs on locally, which is not the plan.This is my .sif file, located ind "English\Images\W2K3\i386\templates";SetupMgrTag[Data]AutoPartition=1 MsDosInitiated="1" UnattendedInstall="Yes" floppyless="1" OriSrc="\\%SERVERNAME%\RemInst\%INSTALLPATH%" OriTyp="4" LocalSourceOnCD=1[setupData] OsLoadOptions="/noguiboot /fastdetect" SetupSourceDevice="\Device\LanmanRedirector\%SERVERNAME%\RemInst\%INSTALLPATH%"[unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemPreinstall = yes OemPnpDriversPath = \Drivers\NIC\broadcom;\Drivers\LSI; OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall= Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS FileSystem=LeaveAlone NtUpgrade=No OverwriteOemFilesOnUpgrade=No DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore[MassStorageDrivers]"LSI Logic Fusion-MPT SAS Driver (Server 2003 32-bit)" = "OEM"[OEMBootFiles]s2k332.catlsi_sas.inflsi_sas.syslsinodrv.systxtsetup.oem[GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=password EncryptedAdminPassword=NO AutoLogon=Yes AutoLogonCount=1 TimeZone=105 OemSkipWelcome=1 OEMSkipRegional=1[userData] ProductKey= *****-*****-*****-*****-***** FullName="Full Name" OrgName="Org Name" ComputerName=%MACHINENAME%[LicenseFilePrintData] AutoMode=PerServer AutoUsers=99[RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 SystemLocale=00000406 UserLocale=00000406 InputLocale=0406:0000040[Display] BitsPerPel=32 Xresolution=1024 YResolution=768 VRefresh = 75[identification] JoinDomain=domain DomainAdmin=administrator DomainAdminPassword=******; CreateComputerAccountInDomain = Yes DoOldStyleDomainJoin = Yes;[GuiRunOnce]Command0 = \\adm-ris\reminst\Setup\English\Images\W2K3\$OEM$\SP1.cmd;Command1 = \\adm-ris\reminst\Setup\English\Images\W2K3\$OEM$\install.cmd[NetServices]MS_Server=params.MS_PSched[Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes ProcessPageSections=Yes[RemoteInstall] Repartition=Yes UseWholeDisk = Yes[Components]OEAccess = Off[OSChooser]Description="Windows Server 2003, for IBM Blade Servers"Help="This will install Server 2003, Standard Edition on Blade Servers"LaunchFile="%INSTALLPATH%\%MACHINETYPE%\templates\startrom.com"ImageType=FLATVersion="5.2 (3790)"Furtermore i have a autologon.cmd, located in "English\Images\W2K3\$OEM$":REGEDIT /S autologon.regCalling autologon.cmd, also located in "English\Images\W2K3\$OEM$":Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]"AltDefaultDomainName" = "domain""AltDefaultPassword" = "password""AltDefaultUserName" = "risadm""AutoAdminLogon" = "1"For some odd reason the machine logs on locally instead of on the domain. Does anyone have any suggestions why this happens.Any help will be appreciated.RegardsBirger Wilhelmsen Edited November 30, 2006 by BirgerW
luke.mccormick
im taking a guess..but maybe..."AltDefaultDomainName" = "domain""AltDefaultPassword" = "password""AltDefaultUserName" = "risadm""AutoAdminLogon" = "1"does altdefaultdomainname need to be say...domain.com? rather than just domain? or the user name domain\risadm? Robertv
Have you authorized your RIS client to join domains while delegating it?
cluberti
This is actually the default behavior - RIS will use a local account for logon after install, regardless of domain logon. You'll have to use registry modifications to make this work. It's been discussed here a few times before .
