smilin Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Hi,I wonder if this is possible. I wish to set up a shortcut which will automatically create a RA invitation with a set password and expiry of 1 hour and send it via email to a pre defined email address. The reason for this is that most customers i have are 70+ and have enough problems using a pc, and it is time consuming talking them through sending a RA request in the first place.Anyone know if its possible?James
CptMurphy Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 (edited) After some research (and I use that term loosely since I was just backtracking where the html files where and looking at code) I came to this link. Enter it on YOUR PC in the run prompt: hcp://cn=microsoft%20corporation,l=redmond,s=washington,c=us/Remote%20Assistance/Escalation/Unsolicited/unsolicitedrcui.htmYou need to make sure that the user allows remote connections to their PC. This link will open up the Help and Support Center on the "Offer Remote Assistance" page. Just enter the IP address of the user and you're set.The funny thing is, I only had to do a search on help and support for "offer remote assistance". Pist me off since I wasted my time trying to alter code on the other pages. Oh well, I learned something new.BTW, I've never actually tried this since this is the first time that I've seen this. But I really don't see how it couldn't work. Edited December 1, 2006 by CptMurphy
