text darkness/brightness

After having Office 2003 installed on my work computer yesterday, the text resolution seems so dark that I can barely distinguish between normal and bold text. It just all looks bold. Is there a way to lighten up the normal text?

Methinks this is caused by too large of a zoom view. Try page width or 75% or something.
