Hi there,

I really hope someone can help me. We have a client who wants to send an email to 450 users. They use a certain program to create the recipient list, and so they cannot reconfigure it to send to fewer users.

Upon sending said email, a message appears from Symantec stating the following message:

"Your e-mail message was unable to be sent because your mail Server rejected the recipient:

452 too many recipients."

The customer has outlook 2003, Symantec antivirus 10.0.0.239 and the clients for it on each computer. Additionally, they have a SBS 2003 server with Symantec client side applications installed. Apparently a solution may be to simply disable outbound email scanning....where can I do this? Do I do it only on the client?

Thanks a lot in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, that's an SMTP error, and it's not a Symantec error. It's just relaying the SMTP code sent to it by the upstream mail server - which means you'll have to contact your ISP to send out a mass-mailing (they probably view it as spam unless you tell them otherwise).
