November 19, 200619 yr Author Sure, do it as the AdministratorWell, even when trying with an administrator account it just tells me that some folders / Files can't "owned".
November 19, 200619 yr OK, then try this. Look in the Vista Tips and Tricks section for a post about the 'takeown' untility in Vista that will allow you to take ownership of folders and files in this case.Sure, do it as the AdministratorWell, even when trying with an administrator account it just tells me that some folders / Files can't "owned". November 20, 200619 yr In Vista due to the Windows Resource Protection even the Administrator does not have ownership or control of certain system files. As of right now there is no patch to disable WRP, so you need to manually take ownership and control of each file you want to change. I posted instructions on how to do so in the uxtheme patch topic in this forum. If we dont get a patch I am sure someone will at least make a autoit script to do this method quickly.
