>WinZip, one of the best pieces of utility software ever made for Windows

*YAWN*

I've been using free TUGZip, IZArc, and 7zip for years now.

Unless one wants to spend money on an obsolete/limited functionality zipping/unzipping tool, there is no reason why one should use WinZip, when there are so many other similar tools, and most are free(ware):

Or if any1 likes the command line, there are always tools like PK(UN)ZIP, ARJ, 7ZA, LHA etc.

I still use WinZip 8, one of the last versions to not have too much eye candy. WinZip might be obsolete, but I like the streamlined interface, and I only need to handle ZIP files, which it does pretty well.

But I agree WinRAR is better. :)

But I agree WinRAR is better. TOO!

There is also Power Zip,power zip also has built-in support for Cab, Rar, Tar, Gz, Bz2, Z, Ace and Jar files but you still have to pay up $20 for Full Version
