strange boot problem

when i initially installed vista i barely saw the boot screen.. the progress bars used to go by no more than 4-5 times..

yesterday i did a very stupid thing - i used ccleaner to clear some crap.. after that i restarted.. while going for restart it provided me with an error (explorer.exe cant read from address 0x0000 or something like that..)

then, when it started booting, the progress bars went by 4-5 times, the screen flashed, and the they went by 10-15 more times

i would think that that's prefetch - prefetching stuff so that it's faster after the welcome screen, but no.. it's not faster at all.. now my overall startup time is more than a minute. it used to be a minute sharp before..

anyone got a clue, what could've caused that? when i clear the prefetch it boots normaly and than again the bars go by 20 times..
