Windows 2003 SP1 - Domain Login Issue

Greetings,

Loaded server joined domain & logged in successful. Loaded Sybase 8 - rebooted trying to log in & I get the following error:

"Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found"

If i can i dont want to delete the account dis-join the doamin and re-join, any other sugg?

Also there is allot of old computer objects in our AD computers long gone formatted and renamed - how can i find and delete the "dead" computer objects without having to go and do a manual audit and compare that to the AD?

Any suggestions and advice will be highly appriciated!!

1) make sure the account shows up in active directory users and computers

2) make sure your computer is pointing to your Active directory DNS server as its primary dns server.
